Can an Agent Sell Insurance to Themselves

This question kinda goes with the other post I put up the other day. I am a a newly licensed agent. Have not began to start selling yet.

Can agents sell themselves personal auto and homeowners policies? I checked my state manual and it really didn't do me any justice!

Of course. P&C you can sell to yourself all day.

Of course you can. I have sold myself auto, home, and life.

I tried to sell myself a LTC policy, but the client is a cheapskate.

You will be your best client. Good coverage and you get paid to do it.

Of course you can. I have sold myself auto, home, and life.

I tried to sell myself a LTC policy, but the client is a cheapskate.

There isn't a worse client than a former agent.

I sold 13 policies during my first week as a new agent. Auto, Homeowners & Umbrella to myself; Auto, 3-Homeowners (primary, secondary and vacation homes) and Umbrella to my parents; Auto & Homeowners to my sister; and Auto, Homeowners and Dwelling Fire (for a rental home) to my dad.

It was a good first week even if they are my most high-maintenance customers, even now! =)

You can only sell insurance to yourself if you pass underwriting and can close the sale.
