Can you become licensed in Texas with 1 misdemeanor DUI on your criminal history?

The title says it all. I have 1 misdemeanor DUI on my criminal history and I want to know if I will be able to become licensed or not.
Google gives me several answers.. I need a yes or no.
Please help.

You are going to get someone's guess, educated or not, or someone's past experience. Does the Texas department of Insurance website give you the requirements? That is where I would go.

My guess, it should not be an issue for licensing.
 
TDI site says that traffic offenses and first offense DWI is excluded..

But, I was convicted of a DUI..

This was in Florida...

It’s the difference in verbiage that confuses me. Is a dwi and dui the same?

A friend of mine was able to get a resident license in TX with 2 out of state DUI convictions on his record in the previous 5 years.

I can't guarantee you will get the same results, just be upfront and disclose everything, they may request a court document showing the charges/disposition.

eta: DUI (Driving under the influence) and DWI (Driving while impaired) are the same thing, states sometimes word them differently.
