Claimed Denied Have a Question

Maybe they denied to replace the part on the refrigerator, but everything else was approved? That would make sense.

No it wouldn't make sense. If the cause of the loss isn't covered, then the loss isn't covered.

My guess is someone pushed the wrong button, realized it, corrected it, but the computer sent the letter out in the 3.2 seconds in between. What surprises me is that you received a letter about a denial faster than a call about the claim process.

Strange things happen sometimes, but I'm glad it worked out for you.

This is very common (atleast for us down here). If they deny part of the claim, they are required to send you that letter. When yo ugot that letter you should have called the adjuster right away and he wouldv'e explained it to you. Basically they are not going to cover the line due to the usual wear and tear, however they will cover the water damage.

Sure it makes sense. Replacing bad breaks isn't covered on an auto policy, but if you run into someone because you can't stop, you're car would be covered by collision insurance.

Great comparison! .
