I have a client and I am trying to place her with first day coverage. Here is her story, she is 75 healthy takes no meds except for asprin everyday. About 21 months ago she went to the hospital for angina they gave her meds and found nothing wrong with her.

I tried to get her with Americo first but they wanted to give her UP3 because of a med. I asked what it was they said ask her. She says she takes nothing but asprin. But she thought it might be because of what they gave her when she went to the hospital for "angina".

Is there a company that I can put her with that this angina will not be an issue?

I was looking at Oxford, their app looks like it would be a fit, but ther is one question I am not sure of. Everything looks good except for question 10 B.

"Within the past 24 months:

medically diagnosed as having, been treated for or hospitalized for: heart attack, heart disease, heart or circulatory surgery (including pacemaker, by-pass, heart valve replacement, angioplasty or stent implant), uncontrolled high blood pressure or any procedure to improve circulation to the heart or brain?"

Would Oxford deny her?

Just looked at the app again question 10A will get her.

I would say 5 Star.

They hate angina meds. I think the app asks if they have EVER taken meds for angina.

Aspirin is not meds and they don't do a script check. According to the op she only takes aspirin. And they only ask 12 months on angina.

Maybe you have a different 5 Star app than I have?

I would write this lady all day long on 5 Star if all the info has been provided here.

Might even go with RNA. I just had a fellow moved to UPIII with Americo over a phantom med that I then wrote with RNA. Approved immediate benefit on the phone interview.

Lol I deleted the post so fast lol and you quoted me before I could do it.

JDs right, as long as she's not taken meds for angina in the last 18 months she would be Immed coverage with 5 star.

I got CHF and angina confused:err:

That ^^ would be my answer!

If Mon is the winner then I would hate to see the loser.

It's actually 12 months.

Then we definitely have different apps. I got mine from 5 star a few weeks ago.

Question 4 in section 2 says "In the past 18 months....or taken meds for angina?"
