Clients Commiting Insurance Fraud.

Yes, below body lines is a big give-away. Anytime someone uses a ball hammer, there will be tool marks (tiny circles) in the center of the dent. Or anytime the paint is broken in the center of the dent is a big sign. Another common thing is to take a real piece of hail and put it in a sock, then walk around the car beating it up. What they don't realize is it will leave tiny grids in the paint from the cotton. It basically brands the car everywhere it's hits. It's really suttle, but you can see the fabric lines. If they hit chrome like on a grill or belt molding, it will be obvious. Fabric patterns in chrome show up nice in pics too. I've saved a bunch on my work computer. We generally get multiple huge hail storms per year in Oklahoma. I love the overtime.

I am located in CA but sell several carriers in Florida. We use inspection centers to have clients vehicles checks in some counties.

what if they use a plastic bag instead of a shock? lol

what do you guys do if you suspect your client wants to get insurance just to get his tags then request a refund or cancel, do you insure him anyways and if not what do you tell him?

Must depend on the state a bit, since in California, if your insurance lapses, so do your tags. Then you have to pay to reinstate them.

If you have this problem very often, then charge a broker fee on liability only policies with no previous insurance. Then, even if it lapses, great, you made some money for your time, or they went down the street to get it done.

In NJ they have policeman entering your tag, thru their computer as you sit at a red light. They also have a scanner that can scanner a parking lot, and run tags. Big brother is watching. NJ will pull you over, for a head light out, tail light out, license plate light out. cell phones, seat belt, NJ will get those law breakers. but they seem to not be able to catch those murders in Newark. Wonder why?

I send them walking. I have better things to do than to work for free. It's usually a referral from a current client.."Um ya, Bob told me to call you for some car insurance..." "Lets look at your home/renters insurance as well" "no, just the auto insurance... I want state min and I only want to pay for the first month"

RED FLAG

Ask them for a referral!

Really thou, if you have a concern about this, then simply write them with a company that pays you as earned, then you dont need to deal with the BS of chargebacks and stuff, if someone I have in a paid as earned company cancels, who cares, Those people will be high maintance and not make you any money, I am more concerned with my preferred clients.
