Hi,

I had a client who I enrolled with UHC for 1/1/2025, a new to me client this year. Had turned 65 earlier this year but enrolled with a call center she found.

Received a chargeback with UHC and the reason for the chargeback according to them was the plan was canceled by CMS.

Have you ever experienced this before? UHC support said for the client to call CMS...

Should I call Medicare with the client on the line? I completed the enrollment over 3 weeks ago and we had no issues.

They enrolled with a different agent - CMS didn't "cancel" the plan, the client did.

if it said cancelled then she cancelled it or the other agent talked her into withdrawing the application and re submitting the same plan or your application was the second application for the same plan but you would have seen cancellation on jarvis within a few days

Yeah idk. Was referred to my another client of mine. They share the same house.

She initially enrolled with MedicareSchool when turned 65 but she said they tried to push her into a Humana plan when she was renewing this year etc etc.

That’s when I got the call that she wanted my help.

Whatever. I’ll figure out what happened. No use in theorizing.

UHC should be able to give you more info, but it's a matter of talking to a knowledgeable person. When CMS notifies a plan about a cancellation, an electronic update made up of codes is sent to the plan. The codes give information such as "loss of Part B," "joined another plan," "member died," etc. CMS generally doesn't cancel plans without a reason being know.
