I want to start by saying thanks to all the veterans on here, you definitely provide a ton of info!
I'm fairly new to the industry, and curious if you guys can help me decide what direction is the best long range option.
I work in a pretty large independent brokerage, about 50/50 split between the benefit side and the p&c side. They have us basically decide very early on which direction we want to pursue.
Where I live, P&C premiums are not particularly high, but there are pretty solid opportunities on the benefit side.
Obviously, with benefits there are a few unknowns lurking in the not so distant future.
If you were starting out now, would you go after the Commercial P&C market or the group benefit side?
Thanks!
