Commission on HIP Fee

Are health insurance paying commissions on HIP Fee included in the premium?

As a general rule, commissions are paid on the full premium. i.e. ATPC/subsidy plus portion paid by insured.

Not paying on the exchange fees and other little Mickey mouse fee... I think it amounts to about 5% of premium however this was from last year... i have not spent allot of time studying my comp statements regarding that for 16.

If being paid PMPM, it's a moot point.

When paid on % basis, health net AZ reduce commissionable premium by all the "taxes". About 5% as Tater noted.
