This is completely insane. They expect to achieve savings by having the states increase their share of medicaid. You have got to be kidding. The states are completely broke and will be for years to come. They are not even paying their share of medicaid now. Almost all of them used stimulus funds intended to create jobs to prop up medicaid. When the stimulus funds end, they will go back in the hole (yeh, I know revenues will be up when the economy recovers, fine, be that way) and right at the same time they will be asked to contribute more to medicaid.
Plus all the dems seem to be feeling real happy with themselves because they are proposing a 900billion bill rather than a trillion dollar bill (multiply either one by 3.5 (minimum) for the right answer.
We are screwed. Nothing but red ink as far as the eye can see.
