Consequences for not renewing a non resident license?

I am licensed in about 10 states mostly added states when my florida ma clients moved to other states and it has been well worth it but now that some of the big carriers say you have to be licensed in non resident state before client moves to new state to get AOR protection if they enroll through carrier telesales getting licensed after the fact is pointless .I plan on not renewing a state i no longer have clients in and where the appoinment fee is high-Missouri.Do i just not renew the non resident licence and let them term me or do i need to contact state so i don't get derogatory info on my record?Any effect on how non resident licensee is termed if you ever want to get re licensed ?

Generally, it seems that getting the nonres state licensing back after a term is the same process as the first time as long as it was voluntary. I am sure there are exceptions and a few of the states make it a real PITA, but most involve 10 minutes in NIPR and the swipe of the 'ol credit card.

Any of them that make me jump through weird hoops, I just won't license in.

Do you mean the state terming you?

I've dropped states before and gone back years later with no problem.

But not with Missouri.

maybe terming was a bad choice of words i was referring to just letting the non resident license lapse and just ignoring the DOI email reminders

Wasn't sure if you meant the state or a carrier.

Just let it ride. You'll get emails from that state as well as some of your companies.
