Coventry....Lovem or Hatem??

Hey. Rather than Lovem or Hatem, I am more in the I Likem category. Their plan in my particular area is better than all the other MAPD plans if the network fits the client. I only sell their PPO and PPO SNP Diabetes plan.

The client is supposed to call a toll free# to tell Coventry that they are dropping their MAPD plan. The # I was given is just the general # for Coventry. Has anyone tried to call Coventry. You're transferred constantly and the info they give isn't the most accurate. I can just imagine how this is going to work out. They should give a specific # for the client to call, like the underwriter handeling the case, but that would be too easy

I don't know about what phone numbers you have, but my sheet shows different numbers for different products and for the CCP differs for region. Maybe you aren't calling the proper number.

I'm not able to write Coventry anymore because of Parker and Asses, but, to answer your question, it's both.

Sometimes you lovem and sometimes you hatem. I've found them to be slightly less aggravating than Pyramid to handle problems with, but, they have excellent benefits in some areas for my clients.

It's not bragging on them much to say they are better than Pyramid. I've never found a company to be as difficult as Pyramid. In life insurance, Old Mutual comes close to being Pyramid.

All these companies have their good and bad. Some good outweighs the bad, some bad outweighs the good.

That's the beauty of being an Indie....

In New York we've only got the Advantra Freedom Four PFFS Plan which works well in some situations. I've had no problems with Coventry at all here. If Coventry doesn't fit my clients needs I offer a different companies product that will and roll with the punches.
