Just received my letter from Settlers telling me my CA to represent them has been cancelled. Instead of a "Thank You for your faithful service" that one would expect considering the reason for the termination, it goes into a long description about when they will vector an agent. With my agent balances there is no possibility of that happening but I think the letter is in very poor taste . However, looking back, this does seem typical of their attitude ever since NGL took them over.. I would certainly never consider another NGL company even if I were not at the end of my career.. :1mad:

I'm reminded of another termination letter I recently received. A company decided to move a line of business from one writing to company to another. So they then terminated everyone's appointment with the original company as it wasn't needed and to save money. The problem is they sent out a letter stating the appointment was terminated due to state request, that there was a problem with my license.

I really felt sorry for the woman in contracting who got all the calls and who didn't draft the letter. She said they had been flooded with them since and she explained what really happened.

In Settlers case, I get addressing the Vector issue as I'm sure they will get plenty of questions and calls about it. But that goes on a separate sheet as part of a FAQ. The actual letter should be a more, "Thank you for your business. However due to the changing business environment..." Or even a more honest. "Hey look, we really **** the bed and don't know how to fix it, so we're just closing shop."

WWJDD?
