Credit Problems

I have a daughter who has a chronic life threatening medical condition and had brain surgery last year. She spent almost a month in the hospital. I also personally suffered from 2 major medical issues over the last year which kept me out of work for 5 months. Between the medical bills and being out of work, I developed some credit issues.

Will credit problems prevent me from selling insurance. I noticed a lot of the job ads say a clean credit check is reqired.

thanks,
mbb

Have you bk'd yet?

I think you will be ok.

By the way if you don't have health insurance now, make sure you jump on Cover Colorado.

no bk. i do have health insurance, though i am paying 1800.00 a month.

i was checking out the website of the gma that offered me a position and noticed that there are contract apps that have to be completed in order to sell the various insurance plans. they all also ask for acknowldgement of the right to do credit checks.

hmmm...

The question is not if the companies will take you, but will they advance you. That is really your question. Companies mainly look at do you owe another insurance company money. Each company is different. Just ask your imo which will take you.
