Was just wondering what you guys use to help keep track of your leads and clients.

I'm just starting out so should be easy at first but I don't want to wait and then have a bunch of clients that I would need to input.

Check out allclients.com can link to you web page for leads, has a free monthly newsletter for your clients that are email enabled, easy to use for an old guy like me, less than $20 a month.

http://batchgeo.com/features/sales/
free lead & customer mapping software, works on my iphone

I can export my contact info allclients in excel format and it maps out the selected contacts leads etc.

Thanks for the suggestion.

So it only took 24 posts to piss Rick off!! Is that a record?

I've developed one for myself, it integrates a map so I can 'see' where all my clients are based on criteria such as Presentation Status, Priority, Service Work, etc...basically works on any browser, iphone, android and BB (except BB won't do the maps)

It's really helped me focus on what's really important while I'm in the field. Previously, my problem was having to stare at 300 dots on my GPS, not knowing the story behind each, just a name. And it was no help at all showing me a filtered list of certian 'types' of contacts.

Now I do this: Look at my Priority 1 leads and see where they all are, route them out for my basic 'structure'. Then click the map for lower priority leads, tap the pins of those who are close to my 'main route' and read their notes, see if it's worth stopping by. I then do the same with my service work and weigh out all my options. Who can I go see today, and who will I just need to hound on the phone (ex cancelations who are avoiding me, etc)

This way I'm able to put my top focus on my top priorities...without forgeting about the other folks, just see them on the way.

I could also post screen shots of the mobile crm version and the PC version just let me know if you're interested.

Anyways, pictures say a 1000 words, this is what I think a good crm should look like. For Final Expense, If it dosn't put my contacts on a map, it really isn't worth my time, as it dosn't do me very much good. It's why I had to build my own.

Click these links below to see my iPhone screen shots.
Basically a list of querries, and then some of the resulting maps. I can click the red push pins to get a popup with all that contact's info like spouse, address, phone, any notes I have on them etc...
The ones I like, I add to the route....when I'm done adding to the route, I can optimize the route and see it on the map.

I think it's great to see a FE specific CRM thread. So many of the other 50 crm threads and the products they discuss are so generalized. FE is so outside, I can't use something that just manages my office. It really helps me to have a tool that manages the geographic structure of my day.

You were only about 23 off ;)

I use vTiger because it's basically free, but I'm considering SugarCRM because it allegedly is better at doing email follow up.

There are a number of good products out there, the real trick is finding one that works for you. I wouldn't overlook paper either, getting index cards and a small box for them at office depot can be a good way for some folks too.

If only we had about 50 threads talking about this same thing.

Glad you brought it up.

Rick

Like FE4U, I am also new to the forum and probably have asked redundant questions that tries the patience of other members. But still, snide replies like this, however clever it might appear, is so unneccessary. And then I saw his avitar and decided it best reflected my opinion.

Thanks for the advice.
