Cross Sell Sheets Needed

1man,

Do majority of your P&C clients really fill these out and send them in?

Just curious.

I've tried the sheet and haven't gotten it to work. I usually just ask on the phone. Of course, sometimes you get those great customers who just tell you to quote everything they own. The great clients we have will have homeowners, auto, boat, motorcycle, umbrella, earthquake, and who knows, wash it down with a snowmobile.

The reason I asked if they worked is that I would never fill one of those out if it was sent to me.

I would not do that in the senior market, however, it is very easy for me to call any of my clients and ask them over the phone and get the information I need.

If my P&C agent wants any of that information I would be happy to tell him but if he sends me a form to fill out it will automatically go in the circular file. I feel the same way about the birthday card I receive from him. His name is printed at the bottom of the card and it comes from the corp office. He doesn't even know when my birthday is.

If he can't take the time to send me a card that comes from his office and sign his name then I don't want one.

Then I guess the spam-ridden birthday e-mail I was going to send you is out of the question.

Damm! Back to the drawing board!

Yep, at least if you were to send it to me it would be.

I send a personalized birthday letter that I sign. I stopped sending birthday cards a long time ago. The favorable response I get to the letter is so much better than when I use to send cards.

I would never send a client anything like that by e-mail, not ever.

Do you have an example of the letter you send that you wouldn't mind sharing?

Thanks,
Chris
