Crybaby Amerilife sueing cms because they want to take there comp

In this case, Don, your knowledge isn't even close to 2nd, much less to none! When the day comes that you are an FMO, then you'll begin to understand. While the amounts that have been payed out has been in excess, much of that goes to all the extra work an FMO has to do during the silly season. You probably don't understand that, which is just my point. You have no idea what it takes to run an FMO. Your words show that.

It's okay though. How could you possibly know the things I'm talking about when you've never been involved in it? So, I'm not trying to call you out, so to speak, but rather trying to educate a little.
Todd I know what a true mostly Medicare fmo agency does . They have 8-50 employees. They take care of problems the agents have ,they train , marketing money , back office support etc .Yes they do a lot . But a shop Like that is netting $3-$10 million a yr . As I said they should be paid . But as you agreed it's crazy what they make . But if it's not a threat to go away no way Amerilife would have sued . They have to be getting feedback right now the overrides will be cut big or taken away

The quick move to claim the FMO makes too much, and it needs to be scaled back, sounds a lot like when people say "the rich" make too much, and need to pay more tax... I find most people see the rich as anyone who makes more than them.... few people have any issue with somebody else paying more taxes, as long as it's not them... (they say 400k is where the rich starts but they also said that was the number, before inflation)

It's probably important to recognize, if the FMO gets less, you aren't going to get more.... you're rooting for the government (are government employees even held accountable when a new legislation fails to perform?)

The FMO and the override model, has led to a significant amount of the MAPD growth and innovation in the last decade. The incentives to be rewarded for recruiting, training, investing in enrollment platforms, not to mention the lost investment in the high turnover of agents in the industry.... taking risk, combined with with work ethic, ought to be rewarded, this is America isn't it?

I think this final ruling on the overrides is far from the end. The structure and verbiage in commission contracts may look different in the near future, it may be even better! There are a lot of intelligent, creative, strategic minds working behind the scenes, to find a solution that is a win-win for everyone.

The deadlines we think exist, may not actually be the deadlines. Im intentionally being vague, but I think this is far from over.

Remember when we had blackberries, and we couldn't imagine anything better, then apple show'd us something we'd never seen? And it was superior (then Samsung copied it)

At the moment, we are comparing current compensation contracts to what we know, but not to what we haven't seen before. The model could be improved, and everyone could still be making money.

DonP, you might need to shop uplines... I am getting the impression yours doesnt make you feel very appreciated.

If she ever opposed me on the sales gridiron you'd learn very quickly . As far as cms goes . The money carriers make is largely at the extent of the govt . They gamed the system for a decade . Yes Fmo's serve a purpose and should be paid something but not 80% of agent pay. Also another big issue is all the ga, mga's and sga's sucking overrides for doing little bit recruiting . The fmo is doing most of the work yet suck overrides on the front and back end . Forget cms . Carriers looking to cut costs big and that's a big fat target
Who is "she"?

The FMO I'm dealing with currently can't even return one lousy email after I've made them more money in the past 12 months than some small businesses earn.
