I don't shop dentists.

Don't buy dental insurance either.

You neeeeed it!

Its totally worth it to pay $500/year for $1K in coverage.

(But I do think its OK to shop dentists)

You need a fourth plan-

start it day before the dentist visit, cancel it the next day.

OK, so when the carrier says they don't do COB, they don't become like indemnity for the dental charges under network benefits for the full bill? Someone at our BCBS told me essentially what I just said above. Like how would they know there was other insurance. They would just pay the usual amount for a procedure that is claimed.
Unless other insurance is a question on the claim form, but why ask if no COB???

When you use the term "carrier says" are you referring to a verbal response or something in their policy?

If the claim form asks about other coverage, and the answer isn't truthful, that's fraud.
