I love selling individual dental insurance. . .however does the new reform force dental to be "packaged with medical".

Anyone know?

:-)

I f someone already having teeth problem and still want to buy dental insurance. Is there any company, from which buying dental insurance policy possible?

Assurant has a really good dental plan that covers pre-existing.

Its an HMO plan. . .

:-)

based upon zip code

Humana has been really putting a push on their ancillary products like dental & vision. They are going to stay around, selling these other products. This is coming from my rep here in Texas. He tends to think that carriers will cut the agent out of the equation for major medical once the exchange takes place.

JNJ - I hope that your rep is incorrect. I have had good success with the Humana dental plan in my home state of WV. It is priced well and is a fair plan, in my opinion.

Anyone have any experience with MetLife SafeGaurd? I was told it was a good plan. Was at the dentist and asked the lady behind the counter and she agreed as well and the guy behind me who was signing in next had it as well and he likes it.

Just wondering if anyone here uses/sells it?

At least in CA, there is not underwriting for dental insurance. There is however a waiting period (usually 6 to 12 months) for major services.

The waiting period keeps the junkies and deadbeats away from buying it for a few months, using the benefits, and then cancelling the insurance.
