I have seen this too, where medical says that it is dental and vice-versa. I would think that if she had an infection, that it would fall under the medical side of the plan.
You can always try to file an appeal on the medical side. Sometimes claims are denied because of missing paperword, like a missing authorization.
Dental plans....my favorite plan right now is Medico, and I am still looking around.
