Who on here offers dental, vision and hearing plans to their FE clients?

When do you offer it? At time of FE sale? I'm wondering if that would end up overselling these FE clients and then they back out of the FE sell cus now they are more concerned about their silly dental plan.....and most wouldn't be able to afford both anyway.

Or do you only offer it when they flat out won't buy the FE, so you might as well throw it out there that you can also help them with their DVH before you walk out the door.

Man! That would be pretty aggravating if someone doesn't buy the FE but then buys the dental! But a tiny commission is better than nothing! :)

What's everyone's input??

My input might not be what you want to hear BUT if I was you I would concentrate ONLY on FE. From your previous posts you are having a difficult time. Spreading your time and resources out even further would only seem detrimental. Focus Focus Focus on FE and ONLY after you have mastered it or have a heck of a grasp on it, would I look at other add-ons. I've seen MANY rookies ousted by this business because of that mindset.

I appreciate your input. I also sell Medicare, been doing that for 4 years. I can't imagine selling some dental on the side would hurt me,,,,but perhaps it would like your saying. There's so much to offer in the insurance field, you almost hate to loose out on a sale if it could have made one, you know?! :)
Although sticking to just my FE and Medicare may be enough like you say. I've mastered Medicare, just need to master FE,,,then I'll be all set :)

There really isn't any good dental insurance out there. I sold some of medico DVH product in the past and when the client went to use it they hated it. A lady Had to pay $100 deductible and then it will only cover 50% up to max per year and she was upset and canceled the FE I sold her as well. If you want to expend your product portfolio, offer CLI or GTL cancer or hospital indemnity. It's great to supplement MAPD co pays. Those policies stick on the books. I sell them mostly on deliveries, unless I can't sell anything else at initial appointment. The cancer insurance is great for anyone. Regardless of MA or supp or none

Yeah that sounds like a better plan.
I was wondering how "good" the DVH really was.
Thanks! I won't bother with the DVH, I'd rather sell something that clients can get more benefit from!

As you know. RNA provides those ancillary discount services that are worthy, at no extra cost to their members.

I have a block of about 100 Medico DVH policies and I've sold them to several of my final expense clients along with medicare and health insurance for their kids.

I have found if I'm clear about the fact that there is a $100 per year deductible and waiting periods of 1 year for 60% coverage of serious things most are satisfied with it. Many Medicare aged peeps like having access to comprehensive dental (which many don't have with MAPD plans). They also like the freedom to use any provider. I like the 40% commission.

I know many like the final expense only approach, but I know many agents (including myself) that offer Medsupp/MAPD/Final Expense/DVH and are successful. I was always in the camp that believes, the more policies a person has with you, the better the persistentcy.
