Did anyone see the CNN report 30 minutes ago that AHIP has said they are now open to a single payer health system?

AHIP is staffed with idiots. All you need to do is read some of their stuff and you will know they have the same kind of folks there that work in the home office and in Congress.

I can't find a reference to this. I know AHIP said they would support guaranteed issue. But that means a full array of private health carriers.

During my tenure with the evil empire The Boston Division was in the top 2 most consistently at convention. Yes they did sell the mandated coverage and yes commission were slightly lower but they sold more of it.

Initially a coverage mandate will be a boon for us. Eventually however the US will go to a single payor model. It will be difficult because the average American is extremely unhealthy and wellness checkup and mandated benefits will break the system and cause runaway taxation at the federal level.
