Hey guys,
I am doing some direct mailings on LTC, Life and investments and was wondering of anybody would like to share so that we could compar with each other, maybe get idea's how to make ours better.
Thoughts?

Other than newsletters, I have not found direct mail to be profitable. To date my newsletters have been via email thru Constant Contact. I will be starting a quarterly mailout by USPS this year.

Does anyone have a good templet for a newsletter? I can come up with things to put in one but I need a good layout.

I'm new to the insurance world but I have never found direct mailers to be effective in my other business.

If you are going to do a direct mailing, let me recommend that you use postcards. They work a lot better.

I use hand written envelopes and sign every letter myself. I am sitting at my kitchen table calling these right now, 260 I sent out last week.
I never get a good feeling when I am about to call one and "lot 6" is in the address.

I don't mind sending one of mine. Give me your email address. It isn't anything fancy but seems to be effective.

Obviously you need to work on your attitude . . . and make sure you are packing when you come calling.

So tell me, where did you get these leads?

Have you ever thought about offering a free bottle of peroxide and super-size tube of red lipstick with every sale?

Lol, na never thought to offer free lipstick. I go these leads from old medicare leads that I have. All the ones that I mailed out I am using griffon to call them on, if they are DNC, then I leave it be, if not I open with "Good morning Mr./Mrs. Prospect. My name is Jeremy Augusta with xxxxxxx How you doing today? Oh sorry to hear you lost your leg..... I hope you find it soon. The reason of my call is that last week I had sent you out a letter with information on how to protect your retirement and I was wondering if you had time to read it yet so I may answer any questions you may have" and wing it from there.

Thoughts?

It seams that the majority of the people I am calling are on a fixed income from their social security. Is there any way to search for names of people who are more financialy stable that you guys know of? I am also doing this in real time so if anybody here wants to give me advice or pointers pm me and I can send you my messenger contact info.
I appreciate everything guys.
