Does Anyone Know when the Additional Payments for MA Plans Will Be?

Let's all remember that our FMO's continue to do nothing for us on this very important issue. Oh, by the way... our FMO's have already been paid. Yup, they're worthless. :nah:

Let's form a UNION!

Do ya think it would be worth payin say 1 or 2% of your gross full commission in order to have an ability to make a decent wage.

I paid $25/mo for my union dues. What did I get for it? For starters, I get my pension check on the 1st of every month when others are wondering what happened to their defined contribution plans that the company supposedly made a match to out of the goodness of their hearts. I also have full medical for my family in addition to my pension and it's guaranteed by a trust. We were one of the very few unions with the foresight to take care of that.

So, I still pay my $25/mo union dues even though it's a voluntary thing for retirees to continue to pay dues.

That's a long explanation to say I would gladly join your union.

Good News: Initial Enrollment Commission
Payments Are Coming Soon
Dear Valued Producer,
CMS has provided WellCare with a report of all January 1, 2009 effective enrollments that CMS has deemed to be "Initial Enrollments" in Medicare Advantage plans. We are currently
processing the data and we'll be notifying all affected producers of the expected payment dates shortly.*

CMS has further informed WellCare that reports detailing the status of policies with effective dates of February 1, March 1 and April 1, 2009 will be released as soon as they are complete.
*Per WellCare's Producer Agreement, any existing debit balance owed by a producer due to charge-backs will be recovered by WellCare prior to payment of any second tier commission.

how about all agents that are credentialed to sell these worthless plans go on STRIKE and sell Med Supps only??? Then the companies that are sitting on our commissions will have a reason to try and "persuade" CMS to get their ball rolling, instead of not caring or giving a damn.

Heck it's OUR money that they are earning interest on, why would they have any incentive to speed things up?

I think you are playing right into their plans. When I read between the lines, it tells me that CMS wants to rid the world of agents. They are positioning everything to be done online. The sooner they can accomplish this the better for them. No agents, no commissions.

Let 'em run the show completely by themselves. The seniors who are the ones caught in the middle will howl. CMS will turn a deaf ear because they never have had the senior's best interest in mind to begin with.

I, along with quite a number of other agents, have changed my business model to incorporate other insurance products, and will not be selling MA plans in short order. I suggest you consider this also. That way you won't be losing sleep over whether or not some idiotic bureaucrat will mess with your contracts or commissions.

does anyone know if you switch someone from a med. supp. and a part d plan to a medicare advantage plan do you get full commission?

You cant write them right now since its not open enrollment.
Did you origionally write the med sup? If so, you will have a med sup charge back and no, I dont believe you get full commission but not positive on that one, might depend on the company?

I did not write the med. supp and I wrote the med. advantage between nov 15th and march 31st. Why do you think that if it is there first time in a med. advantage I would not get the full commission. I did not think that it was only people new to medicare. I was under the impression it was full commission for people who are joining a mapdp for the first time? Does anyone know?

That would be a full commission placement as a first time enrollment in an MA. Even if you were the one that signed them into a med sup.

Now, whether you ever get the full amount is another question alltogether.

I thought it would be a full commission. I am glad you think the same thing. These people had med. supp with part d and then I moved them to a MAPDP for the first time. I hope cms dosen't screw this up!!
