Does anyone really get "rich" selling Medicare

Or you can just walk past helping people and skip making money

I do help people but it is also def a here today gone tomorrow

I have clients lost in VA because they went state based and not its happening again in GA

I was out of the maj med when obama care hit but i saw many go down with it

Everyone is different, but for me, some things are just not worth pursuing. The dollars are not worth the headache.

Dental plans is at the top of that list, followed by (in no particular order) . . .

Access to health care
Prior authorization delays
Claim denials

Anything that is an obstacle and a problem for my client is also a problem for me. Their problems become my problem.

PDP is an exception because it is a necessary part of client service. PDP is a PITA but I get so many referrals because of the way I handle this product it is something I can't walk away from.

I saw and experienced the complete opposite, I saw and still see people making more money with less service work and a built in t65 market, I'm not talking about no call leads bs, I'm talking about small biz owners that need help

Is he still in insurance Scott?
I'm not 100% sure. I think so - he recently commented on something in one of the FB groups that made me think he still is. I think he went from building an agency (I was a downline) to more working with agencies.

Not sure how you can experience and see the opposite

Its a fact 2 states went from fed exchange to state based which means in those states the book is gone instantly

in other states there buis is still there

but who know when and where there will be a change

I do make money on it, less service? Maybe maybe not I get calls but not too many, % wise same as Medicare seems to be on par

is it worth carrying Yes 100 %
Marketing I don't know yet, if I can do high intent cheep, then yes, but if not, its not worth a big investment, or a lot of time, need pretty quick return

as of right now I am doing all referrals and its good, what I add from here depends on cost and effort

Vic what are your talking about ? The book is gone instantly from Fed exchange to state ? No it’s not . Also your snapped if you think aca has more customer service than aca . This who year on book of about 150 I’ve gotten 1 call !!! 1 . On mapd I never get less than 5 calls each day . Many times 10-15 . Yes my mapd book much larger .

Snapped?? Not sure what you mean. Do you think I am upset? angry? Discouraged?

I never said any such thing about the CS, All I said was it is on par with Medicare, probably a little more, which is not terrible

However out of a book of 50 I have got about a dozen calls, but minimal stuff but still stuff

And what do you mean no its not? You have to renew Plans, this year I went to renew I had a few in VA and they could not because they had to go to state exchange and can no longer buy through me on fed exchange

Next year I found this is going to happen GA

Not too many but I lost about 3 in VA and probably will lose half dozen in GA

Which is why I am hesitant to market and spend time on it
Ill take what comes easy

But honestly its not stable

And listen that is besides that fact the agents come in and steel your clients without their knowledge

I have one ref daughter of a long term client, she is pregnant, she was in a bad plan and had the right income I was able to put her in a much better plan and she was supper happy

but she called yesterday to add the baby and I found the previous agent switched her back

She is going to complain but still
Again for the little I put into it I am not complaining

Just saying its not the next coming you are making it out to be
