Does It Matter for a P&C Starter; Working for a Captive or Independent Agency?

I agree, thats why I did not go that route. If I was the op I would go with the salaried position with an established company learn everything I could and in 3 years have a good buisness plan and go get good E/O insurance from a company that is in the buisness of writing E/O for buisnesses. In the 3 years you will have to give up working for someone else you will make contacts and learn the buisness. I have only been at this for 5 months and I have already made some good contacts.
People will always need P&C and in 3 years there will be more people needing it.;)
