Don't even think about rolling a book of Medicare business!

The "cred" is gone.

Damn. I was hoping the swabbing would take off again; those threads were entertaining. Especially who was swabbing who where, Crooked Hilary and the like.

Not even Bill would "swab" Crooked Hillary. Maybe that's why she's such an evil bitch.
This should make you happy Lisa.

Can we get some statistical data to go along with this. Like, say 50,000 medicare agents. And 1000 rolled books, and 3 of those got termed? Otherwise, no offense to medicare momma, but this just sounds like scare tactics... How many agents has this happened to, and over what time frame?

I appreciate what you're saying, but my point is that I'm not beholden to a company outside of my legal requirements.

You're kind of trying to pull a "technically" card. The point, really, is I don't owe a company any more loyalty than they owe me. We have a business relationship. If it suites both of us, great. If it doesn't, either one of us can terminate.
Technicalities win lawsuits.. The only obligation the company has to you or you to the company is to abide by the terms of the contact... and if the contract allows for justification of termination for cause for rolling business, so be it... Just be aware of the fact it can happen. ……… BTW, I have had companies complain about agents rolling the business with them to other companies... but I have never had one complain when they were on the receiving end.

I have no statistics for you, but this ain't the first time someone's come on here with this beef.

Most Companies aren't stupid. If they terminate and quit paying commissions the block definitely gets rolled. All except the sickies. And it's the company that loses at that that point.

Not only that, but they realize that a big chunk or their business came from agents rolling it from another company.

Like Louis said, it's in the contract about termination for this, but it's not acted upon very often. There's usually something else behind it if the agent gets termed.

Better look at the contract again.. Many have penalty stated for replying business. So they terminate for cause, you continue to roll, they take you to court. And, they have deeper pockets than most agents.
