Door knock on private drive?

I believe ive seen on the forum here that it's not a good practice to door knock gated communities but I recently encountered a lead who never answers their phone, decided to door knock but came across a sign that said something to the effect of "private drive residents only"

What would you do in this situation?

*I don't buy leads

However, back in the day if I had a lead and I was already out there I knocked on the door. If I had paid for the lead and driven out there? You're damn right I would knock. Especially if it was a nice neighborhood. 5-10 minutes and you know if you had a shot in there or not.

Can you imagine a door knocker doing that!!! I'll bet he doesn't take no for an answer.

I'd try a window 1st. If they aren't home you can be waiting at the kitchen table for them when they get home.
