I read through a few of the posts, and not really sure about some of the assumptions, particularly about huffing paint. I didn't even know that was a thing nowadays.

I think appointing Dr. Oz is very strange. He's a Doctor and an entertainer. I'm sure there are many people way more qualified to be the head of a complex bureaucratic organization.

So far, it looks like the cabinet picks, and other presidential appointees are made for TV. I guess his admin is going to be something like watching the Apprentice.

Who's giving it away? Medicare is giving these freebies or the private insurance companies? Last I checked Medicare doesn't require companies to give out anything that doesn't at least match Original Medicare.

MAPD is being snuffed out by doctors all across the country. When the book ledger goes red who do you thinks gonna lose their golf memberships? Shuttle rides? 3k hearing aids? OTC cards? 1k dental plans? Gym memberships?

Dr. Oz used to do paid in-show endorsements for one of the giant call center brokers. Ha The dude shills for a living.

Also, the Trump administration is transparently (very) pro Medicare Advantage. There is absolutely nothing to suggest he’ll ruin the program. He wants to expand it. So does the Republican Party in general.

I think there’s some big red flags being missed . Agents are focusing on dr oz is good for this or that . It’s what the carriers are doing that matters . This aep we’ve had several big carriers commission suppress products . No they didn’t pull the products . There testing the waters how they sell with no commissions . If the results are good then agent comp will start to be phased out . First we’ll see these now non commission products the agent was paid on non renewed .There will always be smaller carriers that want to grow paying some commissions . If oz helps carriers you better damm well believe the carriers are looking to keep that extra profit . Did State Farm or Allstate give 2 craps about the agent when they pulled out of California or Fla ? The agent was left high and dry . I’ve read many times less than 1/3 of all Medicare plans sold directly by agents .

The Med Adv wont go away but
In house carrier agents will be getting these beneficiaries bc they are paid base salary and bonus on any new enrollments. The brokers were not here in 2005 then the flood gates opened and much regulation for bad actors.

The pork fat is going to get cut and brokers will be a thing of the past bc this is a govt program.

the reason commissions were cuts were because of the new regulations, and the change to the way carriers were being paid (change in star rating calculations).

Way off on MAPD. Overall it’s about 2/3 external and 1/3 other. It wasn’t long ago that Humana said on an earnings call that just shy of half all sales came just from the big call center brokers.

Guy Fieri is going to head up the school lunch program. Once P. Diddy is pardoned he will be heading up the after school programs. I think Trump may have James Franco in mind for a key educational appointment. Trump said the guy reads a lot, and he really liked him in Pineapple express...thinks he will do a great job..winning.
