Amazon's Jeff Bezos in a new interview in the The (UK) Telegraph:
"One day Prime Air deliveries will be as common as seeing a mail truck," says Bezos. "The technical problems are very straight ahead. The biggest issue, or the biggest thing that needs to be worked on, is the regulatory side."
On timing, Bezos admits it is hard to call – "months sounds way too aggressive to me, so the timescale is measured in years. But it will happen," he adds defiantly.
Amazon received approval to test drones in the US last year but Amazon Prime Air would likely become a reality in the UK before the US.
Commercial drone insurance an up-and-comer? According to Marsh US Casualty Practice Leader Stephen Kempsey, one of the biggest issues is the question of whether a drone-related injury should be covered under general liability, aviation or other insurance policies.
