Trying to nail down a few P&C carriers before committing to a cluster. So far I've contacted:

- Progressive
- Kemper
- Foremost

Any others that might consider a "startup" agency?

Most are Non Standard but you need markets like these.

You should check out Security Insurance. If you are a start up or established they are a great way to go. You get access to numerous carriers and you get paid more being with them.

I get 12% commission, random promotions, and profit sharing

check them out @ secins dot com

Okay, at first it was cute that you were spamming this place in every single quasi-relevant thread. Now you're just being annoying. This thread has nothing to do with your agency. You're not even licensed in CA.

I suggest you cut it out before you get reported to the mods, if you haven't been already. It shows very little class, and ethical fortitude that you are resorting to these tactics to drum up interest.

No way. State Auto is a big company. They are a solid A rated carrier that has been around for a while. They write a lot of preferred auto & home business in addition to a wide array of commercial business.

Hey sgiswold (AKA super genius): Thanks for the kind words. I probably have been in this business a lot longer than you have been. Sure I talk about the company that I am with because they are a great outfit that might benefit others. However, I add a lot of other advise here to.

Just so you know, I am licensed in 9 states and do equally amount of business in those states.

Any preferred carrier will consider a start up if you have experience and willing to only write with them. Allied, Travelers, CIG, Mercury, etc will consider it if you have a strong marketing plan and offer them first right of refusal. You have to sell them on the fact that you are marketing aggressively and can put business on their books.
