Enroll America - Here's the Solution Folks!

Who needs an insurance agent when they have the Prez cronies and his campaign machine, which they plan to unleash onto their 20 million email addresses to motivate people to enroll in health insurance... This will be interesting...

.....> "Instead of getting people to vote, they're trying to get people to buy insurance."

.....> "hire up to 100 people at Enroll America and to flood television, radio and social media with ads this fall. They even hope to go door to door, walking people through the sign-up process."

I can't wait to have the airwaves flooded once again this fall. Well maybe it will be good in the long run, after they figure out that their 100 person quasi insurance agency can't enroll everybody.... sheesh.

To go door-to-door to walk people though the enrollment process, wouldn't they all have to be licensed insurance agents? This means that they are going to have to find 100 existing agents with experience and knowledge in health insurance to take this job or train new agents which means a bunch of ignorant greens spreading misinformation about the options creating even more of a disaster than we are currently facing. Any one want to take a stab at which scenario will play out?

Sales outside of the exchange will require a licensed agent. Sales inside the exchange can be performed by agents as well as non-licensed navigators and direct benefit assisters.

Non-licensed entities allowed to assist with exchange enrollments will be navigators, trade unions, community service organizations, fish & game, farm and ranch associations, medical groups, hospitals, community clinics and so on.

Ah, America! Where any boy can grow up to be the President, and any little girl raised on a remote farm in Montana can become "the most proper chick on the forum".

Hogwash.

There are no boys or girls in Montana, its all uni-sex.

Thanks for the article. Too bad the general public doesn't know or understand that the advisers who are supposed to start work in under eight months will not have the knowledge and experience as long-term health insurance agents. These are the ones that are supposed guide 30 million uninsured through the enrollment process. First this is a colossal waste of money since there are already health insurance experts willing to work on a commission basis. Second it is a massive risk to the consumer. Another example of how when everything continues to roll out, every detail of this law makes it more and more absurd.

So Bob, did you have anything to do with this bill in GA requiring Nav's to be licensed with 35 hrs of training, and the can't enroll anyone who already has insurance to protect your book of business?

Bill calls for health

Can't say I did. I get all my information on Alibamacare from you.

Not sure why the GA DOI is weighing in on this since we will have a federally run HIX. Don't believe we have any say in who gets hired or what their training criteria will be.

I think HHS/CMS is relying upon the states to manage the NAV programs for FFE exchanges. Producers will be overseen by CMS and the state DOI as it is now.
