I am curious if the Equitable Heritage Protector series gained much traction in the FE market.

Ah...is that a good thing or a bad thing?

They really aren't Americo but their FE business is reinsured by Americo.

Underwriting is similar with a few big differences. One being Equitable will also include eCigs as non tobacco. With Americo they are smokers.

They both are level coverage at a higher rate for COPD not on oxygen. But Equitable moves COPD smokers to their 3 year graded.

But most important of all, you can do a phone interview with Equitable and get an instant decision.

One bad thing about Equitable is they have full charge back if the policy lapses in the first 3 months.

With that exception I really like them.

That is something I did not know. I don't like that.

Yeah, I read it on my comp schedule and called them on it. They said absolutely true and doesn't matter what upline or advance your on. I also believe this is for all products not just FE.

Crazy crazy crazy

It seems like every carrier has at least one stupid rule. Some have several.

Agreed. Back in the day I only used 5 Star and Aetna. Neither had any crazy rules.

Then 5 Star took a total noise dive and Aetna cut comp on 45-59.

Now I am sick searching through 10 carriers to find the best fit.
