Farmers or Nationwide

Any opinions on scratching an agency with either of these?

Based upon what I know I wouldn't even consider Farmers. I don't know much about Nationwide but don't know anything negative.

Been with Farmers but am now with Nationwide. Becoming a primary agent with Nationwide is not so easy, in fact it's very hard. With Farmers, basically anybody that walks in who is a non felon with a good credit history gets to be a primary agent as long as you sold 30 P&C and 8 Life policies within 3 months. At least that's the requirement with my former District Manager. I tried being a primary agent with Nationwide but ended up as a sub-agent, will probably go independent in the future once I get enough experience.

Not to mention that Nationwide also has far better rates in most situations, especially for Life and Homeowners insurance.

Well, I can see making it independent selling life, but I know scratching an indy pnc would be tough. Plus who lets you write pnc through them indy? Progressive? Are there minimum amounts of PnC you must sell each month? I know that I would be depending on life sells to pay my everyday bills
