Faxing to 5star

Hi David, did you have to buy an adapter from ringcentral to fax directly from the fax machine? How much do you pay ringcentral a month? I wanted to use their fax through email service but it was my understanding 5star wouldn't accept fax through email. I'm a brand new agent setting up home office, thankyou for the help

Buy an adapter? The fax gets to them on their machine from ringcentral as if it came from an old school fax machine, no difference.

Yeah I thought it was strange too but the 2 nd sales person i talked too said thats what I would have to do.... Confusing

5 star fax machine is retarded. I can fax to AmCon in like 2 minutes first try ever time no problems. 5 star 16 attempts and when it does go through it takes 20 minutes.

Ring Central is the only way that I fax to 5 Star these days.. For some reason the normal fax takes several attempts for me. I have my 800 number and pay around $360 a year for the service with 1000 minutes included... It works GREAT with 5 Star.

That's kind of sub par to go through those loops. TransAmerica is quick on the fax and the other companies the email goes without any issues.

Ring Central works fine with 5-Star. You don't need an old school fax machine. You just scan to your PC and send through Ring Central. You don't have to fax through email with them. No one would know if you did though. It's still a fax on their end.

I have used faxage.com for several years. It seems to be much more economical as they charge about $4 per month for a dedicated number then a small per page charge for outbound faxes. I average just under $20 per month.
5 Star has had no problems with apps sent to them. Neither has any other carrier.
Use your printer to scan and covert your apps to PDF format. Upload your app to faxage and it will fax your app to them and send you an email confirming the number of pages sent.

If 5 Star's fax is busy I never know as faxage keeps at it till it either goes through or fails.

Meat thing is if a fax fails, you can have faxage resend with a simple touch of the resend link.

Any faxes sent to you are accepted by faxage, then sent to your email as PDF files.

Thank you guys for the help! I just got confused because of them saying I needed a "dedicated number" thought they meant I had to send it direct from the machine

Ring central is 9.99 a month for the fax service.
