Final Expense Age

Whats the best age group to target for final expense policies?
Instead of trying to sell to everybody, I'm starting to target specific markets now.
Thanks!

Can't speak to FE, but for life insurance in general, I target those with a positive checkbook balance. Who cares about age as long as there is a product that will take them? People who want what you have and have money will find a way to buy it.

Are you calling or mailing? If you're calling I would do 60-80 because they're more likely to be home, doing mail you can drop down to 50.

I was thinking of sending some pre-approach letters then following up with a call. This is in addition to face to face prospecting. Just trying to get more irons in the fire.

I target 60-75.
Below 60 and most of the time they are at work during the day.
Over 75 with any health issues-they scream too much!!:twitchy:

I came up with the brilliant idea of targeting the 30 something age group and locking them in to a low rate, as well as insuring their young children. Not a good idea. I was surprised how many 30 year olds are still living with their parents. They are at an age where they don't think about mortality and think they will live forever. Starting in the 60's on up is much much better.
