I find in my area, Michigan, the LH agents are mostly rookies who wriite fraudulent business. I do believe I could make a living off of LH re-writes.

I did get signed up with LH for about one week, two years ago. The manager in Detroit did nothing but lie to me about leads and how great his agents were doing.

I have found if someone has an existing LH policy it is very easy to save them money. I have to believe LH agents have far more chargebacks than normal. If you need trainning go there for that, and move on when your ready.

My opinion only for what its worth.

The key is to compare companies by the Total commissions paid over 10 years. You can get screwed over by only focusing on 1st year only.

Pretty accurate way of doing a comparison of compensation between Co.'s over a 10 yr. period. The problem is FE policies have an ave. life span of less than 10 yrs. I can only go on heresay as I have not seen the data.

If, for ex., FE policies have a life span of 6.5 years on ave., then you would compare comm. over a 6.5 year span, not 10 yr. span.

That's a good point. But in my work as a funeral director I have many families bring in a crumpled up sack full of mom's life insurance policies. There will be 3 of them for $1,000. 1 for $3,000. And one for $5,000.

The oldest ones will be 30 to 40 years old. The newest is usually 10 years or so.

I want to be the agent that sells those policies.
