Final Expense Case Open

I had a post recently on a small case in which I stated I do not do much final expense. I ended up writing that guy on a GUL policy since it made sense for the face amount and situation.

However, that case just referred me to another client who is unhappy with her situation. She has a $65/month policy with Colonial Penn originally for $10,000 that due to a loan interest outstanding, is quickly going the wrong direction. The policy basis is such that termination the policy would have no tax consquences.

She is sold hook, line, and sinker on the AARP NYL term plan. Through a search on this forum and an anonymous call to their call center, I'm no longer worried about that once the facts are explained to her. She turns 74 shortly and after 1 year will see the rates jump significantly, not to mention she'll have to die before age 80 to collect. Once it's explained, I don't expect to have any more resistence.

There's the background, here is my main concern. She had two aneurisms and stroke, however, those all occurred 7 to 10 years ago. She is currently age 74. Will those alone knock her out of contention for a fairly competitive final expense policy?

My marketing company has American Continential, Presidential, & Transamerica. Do you find any of those to be fairly competitive? I can always go out and look for another company, I've seen Oxford mentioned a number of times on here? I'm actually consider myself to be a competent life agent, just not a competent final expense agent if the companies I mentioned are laughable. That's why I'm here!

You seem to be 'in luck today', because the Gentleman that answered your question here, TRK (stands for Todd R King) is a very competent Final Expense IMO... so he can fix you up with some of the most competitive FE products out there.

Todd's contact info is located just under his post to you... He is a good guy and will help you with what you need. (Todd is not my brother either, in fact no relation at all and no compensation rec'd for this endorsement).

AmCon and Trans are both decent, but both are overpriced for this situation.

RNA $10,000 whole life=$67.01/mo

Foresters is $66.15/mo.

Monumental is $69.20/mo

Americo is $67.61/mo

AmCon is $71.67/mo. {not as far off as I suspected, but too much to use if she can qualify for RNA or Foresters}.

The AARP NYL will cost her $39.83/mo. for one year and then go shy high. They don't publish that rate, but it usually is about double. She can then keep it until she is 80 and a day.

You could write her with a co that uses actual age and save the age of 73... would amount to 3 or 4 dollar a month savings. 40 or 50 bucks a yr over the next 10 or 20 yrs, depending on how long she lives, adds up to a lot of money.
