Final Expense Company Who Take a Credit or Debit Card

Can agents make a living chasing that type of business? Would think the chargebacks would be horrendous.

Yes, if handled properly. Of course getting the companies to listent ot the agents on these types of issues takes the wisdom of Soloman and I'm not seeing that at the companies I write.

The Direct Express business is good businss. The client can't put more money on it and can't use it for just anything. The key is to have the draft on the day that money goes on the card.

That is the only card they should accept. It's not a good idea to charge your ins payment or get over extended and then pay interest on your life ins. If I were in charge it would be checking accounts, savings accounts and the Direct Express card. Monthly billing but only for people with a valid checking account. And the payments have to made from a checking account. That would take care of the long time checking account holders that have had a problem before with Direct TV, Dish Network or an autopay car loan that they got burned on and won't allow automatic payments again. Those folks will pay. The rest won't.

Those would b my rules if I were King of ins for a day.

Probably a bad one.

Just tell them to go get a checking account and then go write them. Yeah, yeah, they won't. Bull$hit! They do, or you just move on.

The people who don't have bank accounts won't open them because they have garnishments against them. You have to read between the lines. They have, lawsuits, floated checks, back child support, etc.

They don't really just not trust banks like they say.

Yep. That's why I like the way 5 Star does their direct billing. They will only do it for someone that has an account but will not use it because of a bad experience or something.

I use that model with all the companies that will do direct bill now. If they will write a check for the first months premium I will still do direct monthly pay applications. If they don't have a bank account at all I don't write them. I don't take them down to the bank. I don't tell them to get an account and then call me.

I can't say I haven't done that crap in the past because I have. Write and learn.

Have a safe trip to Nashville JD. Mizzou hopefully has a date with KY tomorrow.

We're not leaving until later today. Have a litle work to do this morning. We are going down a bit early to eat at Bro's Cajun restaurant before the game. We saw it on Diners, Drive ins and Dives.
