If I want to write FE over the phone in MS, AL, LA, TN, GA, and TX, what 3 or 4 company mix would you recommend I have in my bag to make sure I can write most anyone that is interested?

I would look into citizens in tx which is combined underwriters in Tyler TX. Also, Columbian Mutual.

Foresters, Madison.. and get Fidelity- good cheap rates for nonmed simplified issued term for someone that wants more than your typical 35k

American Amicable requires face to face- cant sell over the phone
Heres a couple tips you'll need to know.. You'll find many clients on SSI that dont have bank accts or savings accts. They have the checks deposited into the debit cards every month i.e Direct Express
Foresters doesnt take CC's.
American Amicable, Madison, Assurity and Fidelity do take CC's
Telesales- go with Madison, Foresters, Assurity, Mutual of Omaha and Fidelity- Thats a good start.
Assuritys Acci-flex is a great last ditch sale if you continue to run into the same type of clowns I seem to get.. ya know the ones.. Dui, suspended licesnse- felony etc..
Tip* Assuritys simplified WL you can get level benefits for nutjobs - Theres no questions about Bi-polar meds like every other has on the app- so if ya get anyone under 50 thats Bi-polar- Assurity

Pretty close to Foresters- about $6-$10 more per month-
But they do offer a better product- like the option to elect a paid up policy instead of cash value- Foresters doesnt offer paid up insurance
And the phone voice sig is 10 minutes- not 45 minutes like foresters- you can read the disclosures to your clients and they just have to answer yes when asked if the agent read you the disclosure- Foresters plays like 6 audio recordings and its a pain in the ...........
