Got an FE referral in NY and no one other than Presidential that we currently do business with does business in NY. Anyone writing FE in NY care to share some additional carriers that write FE there.

Depending on where you meet your client, you can take them to a coffee shop in NJ or neighboring state and sell them Fidelity. Fidelity has a non-residence sale declaration. Form number F1515. Fidelity came out and actually told us to do this if there are states that they are not approved in. I thought it was an odd recommendation, but they say it is 100% legal--the app is taken in an approved state.

It is legal however they are no longer covered under the New York State Guarantee Fund if you do this. Caveat Emptor...that's all I'm saying
