Actually, with American Amicable, if the insured passes away, the rider turns into a paid up policy to age 25.
Speaking of AmAm, here's another PM I got about them;
" another dishonest thing that gimmicky Northstar does, is tell folks how the nursing home waiver will pay their premiums when they go into the nursing home and the confined benefit will pay them 5% of the policy face value per month while they're in the nursing home - but their script "omits" the fact that those benefits are paid out of the policy's cash values and will quickly reduce the death benefit. So the prospects think they're getting a great deal - they go to the nursing home and don't have to pay premiums anymore, AND on a 10K policy they get paid $500/month AND their family still gets the 10K when they die! This is why nobody who actually reads their Pioneer American policy keeps it. They quickly realize they've been scammed! "
^Is that true?
