Is anyone selling preneed insurance in Ohio? My understanding is that the agent can offer an estimate but the Funeral Director is the one that actually fills out the contract and signs it. Also, any info at all will be appreiciated on this subject such as good carriers, legal matters, etc. Thank you

In Ohio you have to be a licensed director to sell it. Some Funeral homes bend the rules a little and let a non director to write up a "statement of wishes" and the Preneed insurance policy and instruct the family to take it as soon as it gets issued to the funeral home so the director can transfer it over to a Preneed funeral contract.
