FMO's and Free Leads

I should have also addressed your question, even though you didn't realize this was old.
Most FE trainers and top producers will advise you to work a minimum of 20-25 fresh new leads EVERY WEEK. Keyword(s): every week.
With that said, that's approx. 100 leads per month. If you have a credit card, you can finance the purchase of leads yourself, without depending on an FMO/IMO to do it for you. If you are serious about the business and you have the work ethic, you will earn enough to pay your credit card bill before any interest is applied to the balance. If you don't have a credit card, perhaps you have a family member who believes in you enough to finance your first 3-4 weeks of leads with their credit card.
So you are saying if a new agent just doesn't have the money getting started to spend thousands of $$'s upfront on leads getting started then they just don't have any options and shouldn't even get into the business? I don't want to give up quite that easily. I want to find an FMO that can help me get started with free or reduced leads but where I can quickly transfer over to buying my own leads as I start making money selling consistently, so for me just in the beginning getting started. You are saying rhere is not one reputable FMO or IMO that can provide that

Ben Boman owner of Final expense services has w good one . 70% commission , free direct mail leads AND all appointments set up for you with an appt setter . But you got to write $2500 a week premium which isn't hard . Then when you want to can move 100% and $22 leads and then 120% plus and you pay for leads

Has anyone ever heard of ***.org? I spoke to someone there. They do free websites for Insurance Agents. He says that FMO's rip you off through the lead programs because they are selling recycled leads and making money off them. He also says that I can contract directly with the carriers and get a much higher commission rate. He says they can help with lead generation that is much more affordable than buying traditional recycled DM leads? Does anybody know if ***.org is a reputable company or anything about them or if what he says about recycled leads being sold is true?

Can't say that I have. Don't know too many people named ***.

But based on your post he sounds like he's full of crap. FMOs don't get paid until you sell something. Why would a good one waste his time pimping crappy leads?

Start with the ones we recommend. We know them. Do your homework.

Too many pimps and posers out there.

There is another option. You can prospect the old fashioned wat, getting referrals, cold calling, cross selling, etc. Not as easy or efficient as burying leads but you can make enough to live on and put back the money to start buying leads.
