It's not a point of sale interview so why does it matter? I've never had a client complain.

Question for you Sai, is there a way to find out which state or area a certain med supp company is competitive in, without plugging in zipcodes?

Illinois has it. I'm only licensed in Illinois, so I don't know about any other states. I would think that others would have it.

Here's the link for Illinois. Similar to Ohio, except they show ages 65, 65, 70, 75, 80,and 85 under each company and no Part D. The state's divided into 3 sections and the links are half way down the page.

Ohio DOI lists all supps that are sold in the state and prems for age groups at 65-70-75 and 80. The prems are not always up to date. It is doubtful that even 1% of the eligible population would/could even access this data.

Maybe this is accurate in some states, but most of the ones I've seen are 6-12 months behind at a minimum with being up to date. Got to love it when a prospect says "why are your rates so much higher than what the state DOI says"?!?!
Or last week, when someone asked about United World based off of a DOI website... when Mutual has already been through UW and UOO and moved on to OIC in that state!
