You want "a go to guy in Florida" but it's difficult to sell there. Focus on other states.

In FL there's High penetration of Med Adv with $0 premium and in some cases they get Part B premium paid back by the insurance company for enrolling in MA's (rebate anyone?)

Call centers that sell Medicare supplements focus on rate increase states. They watch the landscape of rates and when the see a spike, they go in dialing for dollars.
That would be my suggestion...this way you have a topic other than just "I can lower your premium" you can talk about "in your area, one of the largest carriers just increased their rates, but there are still more affordable options" or something along those lines.

It's not self promotion if it's true.
There's a HUGE Med supp market in Florida, just takes strategic marketing to find them so it might not be worth it.
You should absolutely look at selling by phone in multiple states and increasing your knowledge and skills in that area. I live in Texas which is a killer state for Med supp biz but I'm still licensed and do business in over 30 states outside.
