I think its funny how the person that started this thread that we all know about the Florida plans when none of us are in Florida except for a few. none of us know or care about the plans of Florida unless we have to be down there selling, which most of us are not.

Customer called today and told me she received a letter from Freedom and as of September 1, 2013 they are no longer in business. Anyone hear of this? customer is mailing me the letter.

At the very least you might consider assigning a state to your profile. There's a big country out there outside FL. I for one had never heard of Freedom Healthcare.

Business must be dropping -- there are some mighty short fuses on these threads of late.

Freedom Health is not going out of business - the letters that you're seeing is in regards to BPN docs being dropped from Brevard, but not all docs are being dropped. A lot of them have individual contracts with Freedom bypassing an IPA contract.

Optimum and Freedom are owned by the same company and have already submitted 2014 plans unlike Universal Optimum is a 4 star plan and Universal was 2.5 for years.

Hope this clears up the confusion.
