I'm confused. I thought everyone had their own unique ISP #. (when I think of ISP #, I mean something like: 12.345.67.890)
My website analytics allow me to block my own visits in the data reports. but the problem is that my ISP number constantly changes. why? how is this even possible?
99% of my internet access comes from 3 locations: home, home away from home, and my regular full-time non-insurance job.
I blocked all visits from those 3 addresses from my analytics data. yet visits still get logged (that are obviously my visits) all the time with different ISP #'S.. I'm limited to blocking only 10 addresses, which I've already filled and I am still getting data from my own visits.what to do?
I don't get it. If it matters, my home access is DSL, my home away from home is cable modem, and my work is a large wireless server. those are the only 3 locations I use. why so many ISP addresses?
