"Death: It's A Living" on CNBC is about the funeral/final arrangements industry. I started watching it and thought my FE brother & sisters might enjoy it also.

Future airings on CNBC are (all times Eastern):
Saturday 2/9 12:00am
Monday 2/18 11:00am
Monday 2/18 4:00pm

I saw this last week. Great little documentary. CNBC always has great documentaries.

Thanks for the heads up. I watched it this morning.

It's the same ol, same ol, though.

1. Funeral homes are profitable businesses (gasp!)

2. The story about the cemetery perpetual care funds that got embezzled. (yawn) Cemeteries always mismanage money and get embezzled.

3. The scant details about how PFP got a bunch of bottom of the barrel funeral homes to sell a Ponzie scheme rather than insurance funded Preneed plans. They missed all the juicy details about how they got the idiots to look the other way with such an obvious ponzie scheme. Let's just say...I don't think any female funeral home owners fell for it.

4. The usual interview with Josh Slocum who thinks that EVERYONE just just have a direct cremation. Last time I talked to him he was absolutely convinced that NO life insurance policy is EVER designed to pay a claim if the insured dies within the 1st two years. He is always the media's resource for these stories.

5. At least the funeral home owner they featured this time was a good one and not the usual buffoon they usually seek out.

For me it's Lizard Lick Towing when it comes to TV must see.. Yet I did see the death show and IMO I think it was kind of informative.
