I may need to apply for a new individual policy since I've had a dispute with my current insurer. As I mentioned in another post that they are requesting I pay back-premiums that I do not believe I owe. I have heard that it is more difficult for people to get insurance if they have gaps in their coverage. Is this true and does it apply if the gap is only for a few months. I am also wondering if my dispute with my current insurer will make it difficult for me to get coverage from other companies in the future.
