Do any of you guys use them are they any good?
How general agencies work i've heard from other people to be a one stop but i also hear some of them offer commission and on renewals, what are your thoughts?

Yes, they do.

I haven't used them - but I spoke with them a while ago (when I started into insurance). They have good setup. If you dont currently have any affiliation, its worth to check them out or atleast visit their website

i think allrisks pays 12% commission while others only 10%.
Do they pay you for renewals?

UMMM, Call me a friggin ***, BUT I personally, would never write a policy with a company if they didnt pay me commission!

And I wouldnt write if they didnt pay me renewal commissions.

I have allrisks, use then often, no problems, no complaints, they have a wide range of products, They make it easy also, I will email them the website and say will you quote this, they reply yes or no, if yes, attached is the paperwork needed, not usually accord forms, but something specific.....

i heard from other agents some general agencies act like one stop insurance where they pay you commission for new business only. also i've read on this forum that some agents were switching their clients with other general agencies at renewal to keep getting commission.

is that the case with most general agencies?

As I said, I would NOT waste my time with a GA that didnt pay me what I earn, and not less than I expect to earn.

I have a Company that pays me 20% on commercial, some 15%, a couple at 10%, who do you think i use the most?

And I get this question back from U/w'ers very often right now........what is the target premium we need to beat? They are HUNGRY for the business and want to grow, if you dont find one like that, then keep looking.

I think I have 4 GA's I use, I simply email the U/W the website and see what they say.

If someone didnt pay me renewal or less than 10%, then they can litterally kiss my white ass, because there are plenty of other GA's and companies that are stumbling over themselves to get my business.

They pay on renewals. I know of them as well (they have a local office in Orlando). Pretty good markets. I don't use them because most of the commercial we write fits with our standard carriers, Nationwide, Auto-Owners, Mapfre etc., but if I were to write an E&S policy I use a broker that pays 15% new and renewal.
